Juliana Angel

¡Hola Amigos! My name is Juliana Angel. I’m honored to be a teacher at Legacy Leadership Academy. I’m excited to be part of Legacy’s team because it is a program that focuses on enhancing and maximizing children’s abilities and uniqueness, in an environment that embraces diversity through leadership principles.

I’m originally from Colombia, South America, and I have been living in the States for over 15 years. Although, I miss many distinct things about my native country, one of the most memorable days for me is when I became a citizen of the United States of America.

I hold an A.A.S in Early Childhood Education and I have been in the field of education for 9 years in the South Charlotte and Huntersville area. I have been teaching children Spanish from preschool up to middle school. It’s been my passion to pass along knowledge about my culture and language.

At Legacy I will be teaching Spanish to all grades as well as directing the After School Learning Program. My goal at Legacy is that my students develop an appreciation for languages, in particular, Spanish. I hope each child will understand the importance of a second language and they will extend their learning in class to their homes and the community. I’m very excited about what we are doing at Legacy and I look forward to providing meaningful experiences for all our students.

My favorite people in my life are my family. They have provided me the encouragement and support I have needed during my teaching career. I love outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.
